One of our favorite things to do is to join couples in the LGBT community in
ceremonies of commitment or of marriage. Depending on which state you live in or choose to have your ceremony in, you may
either
be able to have a wedding ceremony, or in the case of New York (at least so far), a Commitment Ceremony.
As with our heterosexual couples, we will meet with you several times and create
the ceremony of your dreams, including whatever rituals and cultural and/or
religious prayers and ritual you would like.
For those couples who live close to a state that welcomes gay marriage, we
suggest that you go there, have the marriage solemnized and the license signed,
and then come back to New York (or wherever you will have your ceremony), and
we can then happily pronounce you “husband & husband”
or “wife & wife” and perform a true wedding ceremony. |
